(This post is a part of a poetry prompt by Cubby at Reowr)
You laughed the stars
Into the sky.
On a cloudless night,
Shining like diamonds,
The restless moon cast arabesque patterns,
In its wake, the lake came alive.
Like bejeweled fairies, mirroring your mirth,
The moon’s apprentice twinkled into the night.
Sleep beckons, unmindful of therabble-rousing din,
Amidst chaos, musty, airless wind.
Slumber creeps up, oblivious tothe trudging peddlers,
Human crush awaiting a pandemonium.
Unwittingly drowsed, uncaring ofall around.
I have stopped seeking,
For what I have lost,
Cannot be found.
I wander for things,
Visible but unseen,
Felt but untouched.
I watch, I see, I grasp,
On the ebb and flow of life,
Not half, nor whole.
In search of meaning,
Planned and unplanned.
Lore to be penned,
Through meandering lanes.
